SDTC Commits to Diversity in Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<p>Today SDTC is proud to join the <a tabindex=\"-1\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ic.gc.ca\/eic\/site\/icgc.nsf\/eng\/07706.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ic.gc.ca\/eic\/site\/icgc.nsf\/eng\/07706.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>50\/30 Challenge<\/u><\/a>. Initiated by the Government of Canada, this voluntary Challenge asks organizations to set aspirational goals to reach 50% gender parity and 30% representation from under-represented groups (including racialized persons, those who identify as LGBTQ2, people living with disabilities, as well as First Nations, Inuit and M\u00e9tis peoples) at the board and senior management levels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>An organization that truly embodies diversity, equity and inclusion takes time to create, but it is worth the investment. Organizations who not just promote, but embrace diversity are proven to:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>outperform peers;<\/li>\n<li>be twice as likely to meet\/exceed financial targets;<\/li>\n<li>be eight times more likely to achieve better business outcomes; and<\/li>\n<li>draw on the full talents of their people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>At SDTC, we are proud to have gender parity at all levels of our organization and are actively committed to increase our significant representation of under-represented groups.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>\u201cIt is by thoughtful design that our organization has become increasingly diverse as we continue to build a team who will challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of what is possible for Canadian <\/em><em>c<\/em><em>leantech entrepreneurs.
